These primary beneficiaries will be studying art or have a strong inclination towards art, and can participate in submitting artwork through Acorn Art Galleries Ltd's various projects.
Aside from the special circumstances of the terminally ill young people, the other primary beneficiaries will have the opportunity to gain positive and beneficial social and life skills through Acorn's projects and training, which are an integral part of the gallery encompassing artwork submission, work experience and education through art, as well as integration with the gallery staff and other beneficiaries.
Acorn Art Galleries Ltd is professionally managed and will instigate awards for excellence, that are:
1. 'Acorn Work of Excellence' (AWE), periodic certificates for the best artwork exhibited in each collection, and,
2. 'Acorn Art Award' (AAA), annual certificate and prize for the best art pieces chosen from all the exhibition collections.
These certificates will be awarded through a selection process by the management team and an invited panel of judges from industry, private and public sector contacts. Thus encouraging and maintaining relationships with the industry in order to further the professional deliverance of the beneficiaries.
Through the medium of Acorn's exhibitions and certificates, the beneficiaries can utilise this as part of their portfolio when approaching colleges, universities and companies. Likewise, if companies are interested in furthering the prospects of Acorn Art Galleries Ltd young artists, then we will act as an intermediary for both parties at the first stage. Acorn Art Galleries Ltd is a vessel of hope and deliverance for the disadvantaged and marginalised.
